During the most wonderful time of the year it is important to stay on track if you are following a health plan or keto lifestyle. It is equally as important to not make ourselves feel that we are deprived of the treats of the season! Here are five tips to help you stay on the right track during the holidays:
- Don’t go out on an empty tank. There will definitely be a lot less parties and gatherings this year with everything going on, but you still might find yourself committed to a dinner at someone's house where they will be serving food. Just be sure you eat a little something before you go so that you do not fill up on bad foods if the host makes something that is not on your meal plan. This also applies for the grocery store because studies show you are more likely to stick to just the items on your grocery list if you are not hungry!
- Bring your own snacks with you EVERYWHERE - especially something sweet.
